Cyanogen MOD 9 For Ace Review With Pros And Cons

Hey Guys! You Might Already Know that I Review ROM which interest me and guess what i am interested in ROMs which does what Previously thought impossible.!!

Yeah! so this time i am with the ICS ROM. (Reall one, ie. Not just themed)

So lets Get to the Revew!!

First of All it is still in Beta (4th one) so is not complete! it works really fine as an everyday ROM it has all the basic functions unhindered! The problem right now is that there still are some things which are not working yet! and there still are some bugs (performance related) to be fixed

The Major Ones which are not working are :-

-Camera

Camera Can’t Connect

-There is No Radio ( Not even the App)

-The Voice search Doesn’t Work initially ( You Need to do the trick Mentioned here:- http://goo.gl/oBZN1)

-Camera LED Can’t Be Used as a Torch Either!

-YouTube Video Lags (You can still Use it to comment and listen to songs)

– Flickering still occurs (But Not noticeable until you open RAM intensive apps!)

This is the short List of the Ones which are Not Working/Has some bugs.

And now to those Which are Working!

-boot -GSM (phone/messages/GPRS/EDGE/3G)

-Wifi

It Works Folks

-Bluetooth -HW acceleration (full)

-Sound

-Headphones

-GPS  (It sometimes takes time to lock)

-All sensors (proximity, roration etc)

-CyanogenMod settings (not all, it’s not fully merged by CyanogenMod team )

-Market (now you can download all apps available for Gio with GB)

-Fixed animations (now it looks good) ( Apart Form the Flickering)

-Facebook sync

-Buttons backlight

-GMail fully works

-Browser fully works

-ICS keyboard

-Games – works as smoothly as on Gingerbread

-Deep sleep (Finally CM With Good Battery)

-Wifi signal indicator (Works For me)

Now with This Beta in place there are still a lot to Improve But but given the time it took for the new updates ( blazing fast) We might have the Final CM9 for ace Sooner than Expected and Finally

Its Just an Extension to your Battery Which can Power your Device from A wireless source. So In short it can add wireless functionality to an smartphone! (Considering you can Pry open the battery Compartment – A No Go For Apple)

The only current draw back to the Wireless Charging Card system, is that smartphone manufacturers would need to modify their battery connectors slightly to make them compatible with the new Duracell charging adapter. And it needs A few extra components. So There’s Gonna be a lot of convincing to do! but if this prototype can Prove itself We SmartPhone junkies have a really Bright future Where there is no longer the need to find the plethora of cable to Charge your Phones, Twice a day! Throw it onto the Mat And all is done!

As This Really requires The People at Duracell To Convince really stubborn People (Not Pointing any fingers). You Wont Be finding these anytime soon at the Local best Buys

The Guys at Duracell says the Mat itself Would Only cost Penny indicating that they are indeed Not so costly!

And a Note to the manufacturers Stop Being the old stubborn guy and Implement this! This is the Future

What we feel about Marks..

In today’s competitive world, marks have become the benchmark for assessment and people’s go behind it Like they have no other life..

Its not about the kids intellect but his mark in the respective respective subject that counts.

There’s no need to say that today’s testing strategy is flawed. And as long as the method itself is flawed, there can be no fair way to assess a person based on an incomplete report.

It is high time to realize this and correct the mistakes.

In India there’s an alarmingly large No. Of students attempting suicides because of bad grades and bad “intellect”.

The One With Not So great “Academic” Performance are Secluded From the society!

It is Notable that there are childern Not more than 10 – 12 Years of age trying to get training to get into IIT and other “prestigious” institutions.

Where Are the Children Who used to play in playgrounds and didn’t want to study all the time??

I am not emphasizing that education must be retarded but come on guys, isn’t this too far? In the age of footballs and bats, you guys wanna drown in books?

I wont be the judge of anything but its a truth to be said..
At this rate in the coming age, there might be smarter minds but weaker bodies to lead us.
